The rain patted down against the roof over your head. You heard the familiar crack of thunder roll across the sky closely followed by the dark room suddenly illuminated by a flash of lightning, the natural light source lighting up your eyes. You permitted yourself a smirk as you pulled the hood of your jacket over your head. Turning around, you quickly snatched up your wallet and phone.  Looking over at the wooden frame of the door to your room, you watched the light  in the next room be snuffed out rendering the entire house in darkness. You wandered over to the window and gently slid it open, avoiding making any noises.

Another crack of thunder filled your ears as you took hold of the tree that grew outside your room. Keeping a tight grip on the slippery bark and gently shutting your window behind you, you slowly descended into the cold, dark night. Tonight was especially cold but that only made you grin even further. Where you were going, it wasn't cold. Once your feet made contact with the ground, you whipped your phone out and checked the time.

10:47 PM it read.

"Perfect," you purred in a low voice.

Pushing yourself off the ground, you ran off into the stormy night. Ignoring the fact that you were wet from the rain, it only made you all the more ecstatic. Tonight was the night you had been waiting for for so long. Running faster into the night, you could hear the music playing from a distance. You spotted a chain link fence ahead of you with a rusted and rain-bitten sign that read:

"DO NOT ENTER. TRESPASSERS WILL BE PERSECUTED."

Picking up your speed, you leapt up from the ground and maintained a solid grip on the bar resting on top of the fence. Using the momentum gained in grabbing ahold of the bar, you pulled your flying body up and swung yourself over the top of the fence, knocking your hood off in the process. Like a cat, you landed firmly on your feet, letting your arms support your body as you collided with the ground. Standing back up, you looked back up the fence you had soared over, making sure that no one had followed you. Met with only the silence of the alleyway, you turned on your heel, pulling your hood over your face once again, obscuring your identity.

I'm gonna fight 'em off
A seven nation army couldn't hold me back

The music was louder now as you walked on ahead, pacing your steps and grinning to yourself.

They're gonna rip it off
Taking their time right behind my back

The muffled beats echoed through the walls of an abandoned warehouse building. The walls almost dancing themselves with the each sound wave amplified against them. The ground beneath you shook as you neared the entrance of the warehouse.

And I'm talking to myself at night
Because I can't forget

The shanty sheds beside the warehouse rattled against the wind and created a horrible sound with the rain pelting down onto it.

Back and forth through my mind
Behind a cigarette

You walked further towards the doorway, checking over your shoulder every-so-often in case of an intruder, specifically your rivals. You were apart of a dance crew who were known for their regular pranks, mischief and sometimes unruly behaviour. But, you were only doing what you loved. And that was to dance. You never caused destruction or chaos, you never hurt anyone, you were simply outcasts who lived in your own world and did what you loved.

And the message coming from my eyes
Says leave it alone

"You're late," came a voice from the shadows. You turned your head to the right and saw a familiar face walk out from the dark cover bearing a humorous smile.

Don't want to hear about it
Every single one's got a story to tell
Everyone knows about it
From the Queen of England to the hounds of hell

"Fashionably," you replied with a smug grin on your face, "Where are the others?" You asked the figure.

He walked over to you and removed his cap so you were able to see his face.

And if I catch it coming back my way
I'm gonna serve it to you
And that ain't what you want to hear
But that's what I'll do
And a feeling coming from my bones
Says find a home

"Inside. I stayed out here to wait for you." His smile had twisted into a smirk as he looked down you.

"How kind of you, Jean." You flashed him a toothy grin as you emphasised his name, before turning around and walking ahead of him.

I'm going to Wichita
Far from this opera forevermore
I'm gonna work this job
Make the sweat drip out of every pore

The music blared at full blast inside the warehouse. Strobe lights of every colour were visible and you finally felt at home. Removing the hood from you head, you revealed your identity to your home. Your true home. This was where you belonged and for now, this is where you would stay.

Right before the lord
All the words are gonna bleed from me
And I will think no more
And the stains coming from my blood

You were met with familiar faces across the vast space of the dance floor. You saw Eren Jaeger and Mikasa Ackerman sitting with Connie Springer, idly chatting away about the freshest music or dance moves. In the left corner of your eye, you spotted Marco Bodt and Reiner Braun busy dancing away at the loud waves of music being bursted through the speakers. The rest of your crew was scattered across the hall with many, many other crews with whom you were acquainted with.

You smiled as the atmosphere was filled with mateship and freedom.

Here, you were free.

And the stains coming from my blood
Tell me "go back home"

The thunder and lightning continued to thrash outside but with the clap of thunder mixing in with the beat of the music, you felt a pair of entrancing eyes piercing the back of your head. You ran a hand through your locks and let out a deep sigh as you immediately knew who had intruded on your sanctuary. Your only place of freedom. Your home.

You made eye contact with each member of your crew and they immediately knew that something was amiss. They gathered around you and as looked up at Jean once more, you turned around to face the intruders, meeting the iciest glare of all.

"What are you doing here?" You spat viciously.

You received no answer. Simply a glare and a familiar 'tch' as you knew exactly what was about to happen.
I DID IT. ANOTHER SERIES.

All my inspiration has come from dance movies such as Streetdance, Step Up, Footloose, etc.  And I have decided to put the reader and Levi in separate groups as people seem to like that idea better.

What's going to happen in the next chapter?!

The song used is called 'Seven Nation Army - Glitch Mob Remix' (Originally by the White Stripes.)

Happy reading! Love you all! :iconpewdiebrofistplz:
